Matt grew up immersed in retail, spending his summers in stores, working alongside merchants, and studying emerging fashion lines. That early exposure turned into a career, and today, he’s one of the driving forces behind client success at Blacks.

With a background in Business and Philosophy, Matt combines sharp analytical thinking with real-world retail instincts. He specializes in helping retailers turn inventory into cash, optimizing merchandise flow, and identifying opportunities within vendor assortments. His deep knowledge of vendor lines, and how to leverage those relationships, gives his clients a measurable edge.

Matt works closely with retailers to align every part of their business, from buying and inventory to sales and margins, so they can increase profitability and reduce risk in a rapidly changing market.

Based in Orlando, Florida, Matt is a trusted advisor to clients navigating today’s retail challenges. When he’s not helping stores grow and outperform, you’ll find him golfing and playing guitar, but his real passion is helping retailers win.

Matt joined Blacks full-time in 2010, and quickly become a trusted consultant to many men’s and women’s wear retailers, both online and off. He also specializes in multi-store operations, creating store-by-store plans that roll up to unified goals.
